Thank you for responding the issue I reported, I tried to replicate I can't replicate the issue as I found in my application exactly, due to above mentioned condition. Status code: 4xx, file can't be transfered accross domain

Status code: 200, file owner changed succesfully GSuite email account that registered in same organization as my GSuite account (this target email account is an editor of the file) My Gmail account (has role as editor of the file) Status code: 400, no permission to share the file My G Suite email account (the logged in account used for testing) The logged in account that I use to test the API via "Try this API" is my G Suite email account (not Gmail), which has the role as the editor of the file. Here is my test result, hope this helps you to pinpoint the actual issue I tried to upgrade the lib google-api-python-client to newest version, but I still encounter same issue on my application. Meanwhile, since I can't use Google Service Account as the authenticator on "Try this API" feature, so the case, quite different. I use Google Service for the authentication for file ownership transfer, in this case, the ownership transferred from a Google Service Account to a Gmail account (this Gmail account's role is editor of the file).

This only works if you can create shared drives or your admin can and willing to help you with that OR if you are willing to pay.Hi you for responding the issue I reported, I tried to replicate the issue via "Try this API" you provided in the link. With that you can transfer those files into your account and keep the link too.
